The Jebel Siroua remains a rich and interesting place to visit. The inhabitants of the massive of Siroua are known for weaving and handmade Berber carpets, very famous in Morocco Jbel sirwa alternates landscapes of volcanic rocks, jagged cliffs and valleys carpeted with soft green, walking in Siroua is a wonderfull hike that combines vast arid plateaus and lush Oasis, green pastures and spurs black basalt, rough life and hospitality of the Berber Mountains.
We leave Marrakech and take the road of Atlas Mountains. After the wergane dam, we continue our way throughout the Tinmal valley and we go up the pass of Tizi N’Tast, which offers an amazing view of the souss plain, the road is meandering through the argan trees, we cross the small town of taliouine, arid plateaus and via a track of 6km, we arrive at the meeting point with our team. We walk on a flat ground to the our first camp at 1405m via the valley of Tisslet. Overnight in tents. 5 hours drive, 3 hours of walking.
We begin the day with the visit of Tisslite gorges, we reach the Tizgui valley with its many villages and terraced fields, we visit the superb attic of Tizgui, then we climb to our camp at 2200m overnight in tents. 6 hours of walking.
We continue to rise, on the mule track, to the pasture and the sheepfolds of tagragra, lunch at the camp, afternoon rest. Overnight in tents. 4 hours of walking.
For this day, we have a mountain to climb, summit of Sirwa 3305m, with a panoramic view,that is the most amazing, of the High Atlas and desert around Ouarzazate. Then we descend to the sheepfolds of Tisswitine. Overnight in tents. 6 hours of walking.
We take a beautiful path down through the valley with its terraced fields and villages – Ait Ighmour, Ait Tigga- have lunch afternoon, we cross a desert plateau to the village of Tizwad. Overnight in tents. 6 hours of walking.
We hike in a lunch landscape to the village of Tamazirt, where we get the transportation, then return to Marrakech via Tizi N’Tichka. Overnight at hotel .
